About Bull

Smart, trendy pub with bay windows, British menu and a selection of beers brewed on the premises.

19 March 2022 - acquired by Metrpolitan Pub Co a sub-brand of Greene King. Two cask beers (as listed) were available on a visit in June 2023 - a third pumpclip was turned around. Great service with a large area to the left on entering set aside for dining. Thursday is steak night.

Future of The Gorgeous Brewery - the kit was removed from the site so ending the relationship with The Bull and indeed with London generally. From the Gorgeous website, "Church Farm, a family-run brewery renowned for its commitment to quality and craft, proudly announce their acquisition of Gorgeous Brewery."

It was the original home of the London Brewing Company, the lease was sold to new operator, Gorgeous Pubs, in July 2016, the sale including the on-site brewery whose beers became available under the Gorgeous Brewery banner. A new brew house and brew kit was installed located in the rear garden.

Before London Brewing moved in it had been a restaurant for some 15 years and closed for 20 months. Wooden floors, scrubbed tables, open picture windows and a nice front deck.

My wife and were visiting from the U.S. recently and The Bull was easily our favorite pub. Perfectly cooked starters/mains, some of the best old-fashioned we've ever tasted, and sticky toffee pudding to die for. A meal our taste buds won't soon forget. Highly recommended!

Stunning Roast Dinner! Crispy fluffy potatoes and stunning vegan wellington. Welcoming to dogs and brought out water bowl straight away. Vegetarian with yorkshire pudding 💚 can remove to make vegan. 🌱

The Sunday roast was good but not the best I’ve had in London. Don’t get me wrong the porchetta was delicious with amazing crackling. However the cauliflower cheese was not very cheesy it was more just cauliflower, not worth the hefty £7 price tag. After a roast dinner Im often feeling lethargic and unable to move yet I had more than enough room for desert. It was probably the two small potatoes they served or maybe the richness of the area that makes the yummy mummy’s only strain themselves to two tiny potato’s. My sister in law shared a bottle of picpoul with me which was delicious…

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Bull and was very impressed with their Sunday roast. The meal was delicious and the staff were attentive and made sure that all our needs were met promptly. Will def come back!

Fantastic food and brilliant service. Went for a Sunday roast and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a London pub. Chicken and pork were brilliant. The roast potatoes were a particular stand out, they were perfect, crispy outside and fluffy interiors ! I could have eaten a whole plate of them. It’s not the cheapest but worth every penny! Staff were so attentive and couldn’t have done more for us. Can’t wait to go back!
