About Wrestlers
16th-century pub with panels, period fireplaces and stained glass, serving craft beer and tapas.
One of the long established pubs found in this area, first built 1547 last rebuilt in 1921, the L-shaped bar has lots of wood panelling throughout. Another of the pubs where the ancient ceremony of 'swearing on the horns' which dates back to 1623 takes place twice yearly in March and August, details of the ceremony are shown above the impressive fire place.
The pub is run by the same company who operate The Jolly Butchers and Rose & Crown (both N16), the Brownswood (N4) and Black Lion Kilburn. Large front terrace provides a pleasant spot to have a beer and relax.

The Westlers for Sunday lunch. Service was good. The staff were polite and pleasant. Good service and a very good roast lamb. Plenty of meat and potatoes. Good value...

Loved that they serve a kids size roast as my appetite is small and I managed all this one. Sat beside a roaring log fire. And the beer was competitively priced.Perfect way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. We have booked again for early in the new year

Super friendly staff, limited but decent menu, nicely located in Highgate with street parking

Staff are lovely and friendly but bits of our order kept being forgotten. My friends described it as chaotic. Items were missing from drinks, the mains and on desserts. That said the food was fabulous and we have booked to visit again. It was a very busy pub and staff were doing their best but I think they need an extra person maybe on a Sun to cope? Hopefully the return visit will get 5 stars all round.
