About Lamb & Flag
Georgian pub with a traditional interior including original wood panelling, and street-side tables.
A corner pub first licensed in 1777 but rebuilt in 1895, its red granite exterior displays a gold and etched glass fascia below the projecting cornice, Windsor lanterns and a name board proclaiming allegiance to the former Simonds brewery. The wood panelled ground floor bar is distinguished by an unusual ceiling divided into bossed wooden squares. The pub is part of the Stratford Place Conservation Area, which includes the attractions of the adjacent St Christopher's Place, but it also serves the Oxford Street and Bond Street shopping areas nearby with its offerings from its predominantly pub-grub menu. Occasional beer and cider festivals. There is a small outside drinking area on the pavement, popular in good weather, with tables and chairs, some cover and heaters.

Great little pub. Reasonable prices. Pints went down a treat on a hot London day. Could be nice to throw some ice and lemons in the water, especially in the summer. Food looked good from what we saw.

Mahtu was great and the food was absolutely delicious. As an American visiting London for the first time, fish and chips was phenomenal! The nachos were amazing and the chips were very well seasoned - you’ve impressed some Texans!!!

Three of us booked a table here after a concert at Wigmore Hall for a Sunday Roast. It was a Sunday and we did eat a roast. My companions chose the roast beef, I chose the half a chicken and stuffing. My half a chicken must have been the bottom half, because I struggled to scrape much meat off the dry and scrawny carcass on my plate. I can't comment on the stuffing, as it never arrived. The roast beef as you can see from the pictures (apologies) was mainly fat or gristle. The carrots were nice. We only noticed the cauliflower cheese had any cheese halfway through. The food was lukewarm, the…

We ate a high top inside the bar and had a great experience and solid service. The bartender was so friendly and kind, and the waitress checked on us often. The food was also delicious! We just walked by and happened to stop in and were so glad we did.

A great pub. The atmosphere is great and vibrant. The pub is always busy, but the service is friendly and efficient. The staff is happy to make recommendations, and they're always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have a great experience. Overall, is a great option for anyone looking for drinks. I highly recommend it!
