About Lamb

Quirky pub and community hub with British cheese every day, a monthly cheese club, even cheese art.

Family run free house, very involved with the local community, especially in encouraging creative activities. Formerly four separate rooms, now a single horseshoe shaped bar. There is an extensive covered outdoor area. The pub had a small brewery in Victorian times. The changing beer is usually from micros, sometimes local. Live music Thursday evenings and Sunday late afternoons, plus occasionally other evenings. Other events are held regularly. Outdoor pop-up kitchen hosts local guest chefs Wednesday to Sunday evenings. Accredited for beer quality during 2023.

Good selection of beers on offer and good layout of tables. Would be good return when food is available or to see a band.

  • 5 out of 5J Lon Google, August 2024

Traditional family-run pub, very welcoming and inclusive. Eclectic mix of decor, clientele and events! Live music at least twice a week, mostly folk, acoustic, blues, jazz. Great range of well-kept real ales and good selection of drinks. Great service, very chilled, relaxing garden area. Legendary Lambstock music festival every year first weekend of June. A fantastic place! Follow their Facebook for more.

  • 5 out of 5Jeanette Dezarton Google, August 2023

Excellent family-run free-house serving real ale, with regular live music and participative events (drink and draw, fiddly diddly,...). Children welcome until 7 pm - games, books, etc., available. Dogs not admitted by order of the pub cat, Olive. Note that food is not served on a regular basis, but with "pop-up" kitchens, provided by varied outside caterers/food trucks, with vegetarian dishes always on the menu. Check the website/Facebook page for food and event dates.

  • 4 out of 5James Sainsburyon Google, July 2024

A real pub, with real beer (and some mass produced fizz) with music and a decent vibe. Has some unusual evenings. Well worth going to. This pub just gets better and better, great fathers say 2024!!

Landlords are lovely people. Decent beer, could do with another cider or two on offer but that's being very picky. Great live band on too
