About Horse & Groom

A hidden gem, this traditional, intimate (if not tiny) and well-maintained wood-panelled pub with etched glass windows is tucked away in the corner of a quiet cobbled mews where the outside courtyard is busy in summer. The upstairs room is mainly used for dining but also has a dartboard and can be booked for private use for up to 50.

Wonderful little pub. Don’t let the location or dim light turn you away. Don’t be afraid to stop and have a chat - and a drink - with the super friendly proprietor. Thanks for the hospitality!

Had a fantastic time enjoying great food with a lovely atmosphere. Landlord was very friendly and so welcoming. I saw some the review giving 1 star, I was was there and these kids turned up with their own food after playing tennis, 8 people they ordered 1 lemonade. The landlord asked them to leave after receiving abuse from them. Great pub, ignore the rubbish. Highly recommend visiting if in the area

Great little hidden pub with the best vibe in London. The owner is a total character. Perfect pit stop after a buckingham palace tour to get away from the crowds and have a drink and a sit.

Honestly lovely. Fantastic food. Very chill upstairs. Great service. Ignore the bad reviews. It's a small pub with a big heart. Also, the upstairs seating area is fantastic if you're neurodivergent, as you cannot hear any noise from downstairs at all, and there was no music of any kind playing 🥰🩷

As an English woman living in the US, who visits at least once a year, I am in love with this pub. Really great vibe, cool people, and the owner Afrim is absolutely the most interesting and welcoming host. I’ll recommend to all my friends local and otherwise.
