About Maid Of Muswell

Bright corner pub with exposed brick walls, floral banquettes, wooden floors and a covered terrace.

Originally an off-license, opened as a pub by Bass Charrington in 1987. Has undergone a bit of a transformation with shades of gastro in its new furnishings and menu. There is a larger outside seating area and food is served from opening until 21.00 (20.00 Sunday), their website will give a good indication of what is on offer, including Sunday roasts. Stations are a good walk away, bus far more convenient.

Offers a large selection of keg beers as well - "10 hand-picked beers to our collection. They'll be on rotation daily but once they're gone, they're gone."

An all around lovely experience. Service was swift and courteous, the decor was elevated, and the food was higher end and had a good variety of choices. We had the worst table in the entire place due to not having dinner reservations on a Saturday, and my family felt a bit squished as people were constantly squeezing by our table. Otherwise it would have been quite comfortable and a perfect casual family dinner night out. We will return.

Popped in to visit an old haunt from back in the day when I had hair...If it wasn't for the very pleasant girl whom served me, I would have trashed this place to kingdom come. Drink was good and resonably priced for the area, Calm and quiet place, no music...reason being the pub is built on Quaker land! I went for the Pub bites....MISTAKE...too expensive, the portions were small, but most of all, the selection didn't taste nice. Stick with the booze, and all will end well.

A spontaneous visit having seen the pub from over the road. Blown away by the visuals of the pub. It's clearly had a lot of love put into the appearance and the place was spotless on the inside. Ended up having a couple of pints from the IPA selection and the burger. A little on the pricey side for me but in terms of quality of food and service I can't fault it. Looking forward to coming back! Edit: Came back and it was just as good!!

First time here for a late lunch today. Wasn’t to busy. had table service and the staff I met was friendly and lovely. The food though was not as great. The salad that came with the Korean fried chicken looked like it has been left out for hours; the edges of the vegetables had dried. Also looked like the pre mixed salad from the supermarket. The seafood linguine portion was decent; but unfortunately did not taste of seafood or tomatoes. Not a great first impression on the food. The outside tables are very cosy, has wooden booths that sits 4 comfortably. The outside was dog friendly, unsure…
