About North Star
Pub fare & draft beer offered in an old-school space with dark wood panelling & outdoor seats.
The pub was purpose built in 1850, shortly after the Finchley Road was driven through. The style is high Victorian, with a wrought iron balcony across the frontage. The Jubilee line is 3 feet below the cellar floor. The building is on a steep slope, so drinking spaces are at a different heights, and the large patio at the back, which can be covered and heated and has TV, is on three levels.
The interior has only a few original features left: there are two marble fire surrounds. It is a football and TV sports-orientated locals' bar: there is a darts board in the back corner. Food includes bar snacks and daily specials, popular with local workers coming in for lunch. Food served: 12.00 - 20.00 except Fri (closes at 15.00). Extended to 22.00 on match nights. Bus: C11, 13, 82, 113, 187, 268.
Please note the food hours cannot be guaranted - all we know is that "the kithcen does close early on a Sunday".

It's a normal pub. The inside is a bit smelly needs air ventilation. The toilet is not clean. There is quite a large outdoor area with a roof. No good beer selection but there are many ciders.

Near to my office. Me and my colleagues went their for Friday drinks. The drinks was not expensive affordable and the food was cheap as compared to other places and good quantity. We are happy with the music all the time playing in the pub. Staff was friendly and fast service. No complains Toilets are scary less light inside it. They have good food options.

I stopped in for Sunday lunch. I had the best roast beef lunch I’ve had in years. Perfectly cooked beef, flavorful gravy, crisp roasties, nice selection of vegetables. Portion size is generous and price is reasonable for the area. The pub has a nice ambiance and the staff are friendly and efficient. Lots of food specials during the week at decent prices. I’d definitely recommend this pub for a drink and/or a meal.

The North Star was a great little find, though the toilets were a bit grimy. The guy who served me was really helpful. I stopped by for a quick pint while I did a bit of work, waiting for a friend. Food menus looked good, with lots of options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free. The beer was super cheap: £5.60 for a pint and a packet of crisps.

Cosy, beer is absolutely tasty at very good price for this area and not watering like some center London pubs. Staff are friendly back yard garden is a great place for a break away from Finchley Road.
