About Plough

Comfortable, rustic inn with garden, serving modern British seasonal menu and an upscale wine list.

A traditional and very popular 18th century pub on the edge of the Royal Richmond park in what is known locally as Sheen Village. This picturesque, white-washed gastropub has a historic heritage. The ancient plough hanging outside the entrance is a relic of the time when the inn itself was a collection of farmers’ cottages, circa 1530. The ambiance is enhanced by Oak flooring, wall panels, polished oak bar and ideal lighting. An interesting feature is a little side room called 'The Snug' that is just big enough for four people around a table. The menu is gourmet pub grub. The pub is surrounded by a white fenced paved beer garden area with plenty of seating.

Fullers acquired the freehold on 27th Sept 2011.

What a disappointment! Something has gone downhill? On arrival, very poorly greeted. Waiting staff walking around with a miserable face. The pub was quiet. Finally seated, it took the waitress 30 minutes to bring paper for the kids to colour despite saying she would happily bring some when we were seated. Why have a corner for kids if you don’t prepare it? Regarding the food, very poor burger which lacked flavour. The size of the burger was kids size yet they charged £19? Very poor value for money. The food took too long to come to the table and when it arrived it was cold. Some of the…

Love this pub. Welcoming and generous hosts. Food always great quality and happily served. Very dog friendly. A must if you are wandering around Richmond Park and fancy a thirst quencher.

The Plough is a lovely pub, our local as it happens. We went today and shared a starter and a roast which was very nice. Food is consistently good and I like that they are introducing more specials to the menu. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Brilliant pub, brilliant food and excellent customer service. Very kid friendly food and the shared roast was brilliant, enough to feed a family of 5. Thank you for the hospitality, will definitely be back and highly recommend for anyone wanting a good roast and great customer service.

A beautiful little local pub. The staff are so attentive and helpful and make coming here so welcoming and homely. Ramsha and Lara have always been so helpful and kind. The garden is definitely a great addition to this place.
