Surprisingly, having worked in the City on and off for nearly forty years, I had never ventured into this delightful City pub and am so glad I did on a hot and humid June afternoon. I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming Shona, who attended efficiently to my order, which I enjoyed alongside other city professionals outside in the small passage. In fact, so good was my experience that I decided to explore further and enjoyed another drink in the upstairs bar. Great atmosphere, gorgeous pub, fantastic service, enjoyable food, fine selection of drinks and reasonable prices for the City…

Lovely traditional pub. As with a lot of City pubs, it caters mostly for the after work crowds so don’t expect anywhere to sit! Very expensive - £6.80 for a pint of pale ale. I had a ham and cheese toastie, which was good.

Small pub not too far from Liverpool Street station. Has a good selection of beers, wine and spirits. We didn't have anything to eat but the sandwiches that they served were reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming

Decoratively detailed ceiling paper, exposed vintage services and a professional charm of an old city pub. There's a steep curved staircase to the hidden upstairs room with velvet, tied back curtains over large windows from which to drink and overlook the busy city street. There's a second bar upstairs and…

Very limited space on the ground floor with more space upstairs. Large outside seating that is popular in the warmer months.
