About Crosse Keys

Spacious pub in a former bank with high ceilings and a stained-glass cupola above the huge oval bar.

A Grand Wetherspoon free house that opened in June 1999 in the former Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank. A larger than normal range of beers is served with up to 18 Guest Ales and Ciders displayed on a plasma screen. This large palatial Wetherspoon pub is Mecca for real ale drinkers, with the normal Wetherspoon’s Beer and Cider festivals also look out for their own special festivals. There are 18 handpumps around the bar, look at the screens above the bar showing: the pump number and beer available. This large pub is split into different sections: the large main entrance and slightly smaller area to the right, two smaller seated areas either side of the bar. There are three function rooms available.

This pub is well worth popping into if you're in the vicinity. The usual extensive range of drinks at Wetherspoon's prices. Spacious building with lots of character. Staff do a good job to keep up with the demand.

Another Wetherspoons I've been to previously but haven't reviewed. A large branch inside a former Banking Hall, situated in the City of London. The Crosse Keys has long being regarded as the flagship branch in Central London. It is situated not too far from Bank Underground Station, Liverpool Street Station and a walk across the River from London Bridge area. The pub was fairly busy when I visited. Surprising considering it is in the usually 'dead' area of the City of London, at the weekend. On this occasion I ordered a pint of Vale Black Beauty Porter and a Ham & Mushroom Pizza. Total…

Visited during the lunch hours rush. Very busy atmosphere and a good mixture of people all ages enjoying their break. Managed to find a comfortable table to have lunch that was served without delay. Beautiful pub, not difficult to find, friendly busy staff and good food at typical Wetherspoon prices. Well worth visiting

Visited twice over the weekend, on a busy Friday night and a much more relaxed Saturday morning. Both times the service was quick, the staff were polite and the food was nice enough. I was really pleased with the prices as they fell within my budget and weren't over inflated despite being in London. Lovely building and some proper 10/10 toilets!

What an experience y'all! Huge place filled to the brim with humans. Between the charm of the old bank building and the loud hum of a huge amount of people having a good time, this was sensory overload. But the beers and ciders were fairly priced. The online ordering system is easy to navigate and the food comes faster than they estimate even at peak capacity. We stopped by later in the night for one more drink and staff was efficiently tidying while things wound down. Overall great spot for our adventure.
