About Swan & Mitre

Guest beers, comfort food and sports TV in a Georgian pub with antique floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

The pub reopened in June 2015 following a brief closure for a sensitive refurbishment, which has retained much of the old character whilst making the interior much smarter and brighter.

Originally an old coach house, this 350 year old traditional style pub boasts richly carved and gilded floor-to-ceiling mirrors and is a familiar landmark in Bromley North. During the day it is a relaxing refuge from the bustle of the High Street - especially in the patio garden at the rear.

The interior contains an island bar, and has been modified over the years to provide separate drinking areas. Discount on real ale purchases for CAMRA members.

Popped in on a Friday afternoon for some lunch. Fish Friday so naturally ordered he fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was amazing! Was very tasty and flaky, great crisp batter. Also had an Americano, was disappointed they didn't have sweetener, only sugar but was a nice cuppa. Tried the jam rolly polly WOW! I would go back for even just a nice coffee and the rolly polly, it is awesome and so glad I tried it! Sat in the back beer garden area as it was a nice day, nice and relaxed. Staff were friendly and attentive. We've been here before, usually with our dog and we won't hesitate to…

Wow I love this place!! I popped in after a chilly day to eat something warm and found a very relaxed atmosphere with very good music - indie/pop rock - and friendly staff!! After having a look at the menu - which offers a good variety of classic traditional British food at reasonable prices - I ordered a beef pie, delicious!! This is the perfect place in Bromley to go for spending a cracking night with friends eating something or simply for enjoying a book by yourself!! 👏🏻👏🏻

This place has blown up on the internet because of Fallout: London video game and the owners have shown to be great people, by responding to all the comedy reviews based on that game. I'm from Riga, Latvia, last I visited London was back in 2009, and I plan to come over next year for my vacation and I have already marked this place on my 'must visit' locations. And so should You! 10/10, don't forget to grab their beer coaster for your collection. This one increases sneaking ability. 😃😃😃
